Both axes of the graph are linear for easy readability, though most of the chart is different shades of blue which might be hard to read for the colorblind. The data comes from the website Social Blade, which is a well known database of social media information for YouTube and other platforms.
If I were to change this data visualization, I would use varying colors for the graph itself, the data points, and the trend line, since slightly different shades of blue aren’t the most contrasting. I also think it might be more visually striking if the line directly connected to each data point rather than showing the general trend. The trend line is easier to look at quickly, but I think an exact line graph may be better when analyzed, especially since the circular data points overlap each other quite a bit.
